Phuket International airport

The state Corporation Airports of Thailand (AOT) has officially announced the second phase of expansion of Phuket International Airport, which is scheduled to be completed in 2027.

The Chalong Tunnel is located in Mueang district and has a length of 730 meters, it provides two-way traffic of cars in one lane in each direction.

The tunnel from Katu to Patong is officially named the Kathu – Patong Expressway (4 km) and represents the final segment of the new Phuket Expressway Expressway.

Modernization of the road from Muangmai to Tha Ruza on highway 4027. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2024.

The LRT line will run along the north-south axis of Phuket Island. The planned route length will be 58.6 km (36.4 miles) from Takua Thung in Phang Nga Province to Chalong via Phuket.
